SMG Studio's No Way Home is a gorgeous, story-focused shooter that's set to blast its way onto Apple Arcade later today. Set in a strange, far-off galaxy, it tells the tale of a young woman who finds herself flung from one bizarre situation to the next. Now stranded in unfamiliar territory, she opts to head out with her robot companion at her side to explore everything the universe has to offer – which happens to be a lot.

At its core, No Way Home is a fast-paced shooter that makes smart use of procedural generation to tell its tale and keep gameplay fresh. There are currently over 50 weapons to seek out, craft, and eventually upgrade to your heart's content. Enemies are similarly varied, with there being over 60 different types to test your mettle on.

Your path to survival with be fraught with all manner of weird and wild creatures that you'll be able to interact with and learn more about. Each alien race has its own backstory and narrative arc to follow, and future updates will continue building upon the game's eclectic cast of oddball characters.

What has me especially intrigued is the writing, which is said to be inspired by the likes of Red Dwarf and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. By this I mean it uses absurdist humour to lighten the tone and give the overall experience a great personality.

It's also visually impressive, boasting a unique art style. All the linework you see is drawn by hand before being scanned into the game, which is what gives it such a distinct look.

You might already know SMG Studio from its 2018 release, Death Squared. Harry reviewed it at launch, saying "whether you're playing with a friend or on your own, Death Squared is a brilliant puzzler", before awarding it a gold rating.

No Way Home should be available for download to all Apple Arcade subscribers later today.
Top 25 best action games on iPhone and iPadTikTakTime

Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is set to kick of at 10am PST / 6pm GMT today. Not long to wait!

This isn't the company's big iPhone unveiling - that won't happen for another three months or so. However, WWDC is always worth tuning into if you have any interest in mobile technology.

As the name suggests, WWDC is an event where Apple talks about its latest software - most notably iOS. But it also throws in some hardware from time to time.

Here's what we're expecting to see from the WWDC 2017 keynote address, which you can watch live on the Apple website.
iOS 11
It's the biggest guaranteed topic of the night - Apple's next mobile operating system, which will be made available alongside the next iPhone towards the end of the year (probably).

Many commentators are expecting iOS 11 to greatly expand and improve its Siri tool. Also expect to see a new Android-like file management app, and maybe a dark theme that switches away from Apple's typical white-and-grey colour scheme.

Most notably for pocket gamers, though, it's widely predicted that Apple will ditch 32-bit support in iOS 11. This means that older games that haven't been updated in several years will no longer work on your device. Bad news if true.
iPad Pro 2
People don't tend to replace their tablets quite as often as they do their phones, which is why iPad sales have flatlined a little in recent years. However, Apple could be planning a redesign for its tablet line in 2017.

Rumour has it that Apple is working on a new iPad with a 10.5-inch display that nonetheless occupies the same basic area as its current 9.7-inch models.

How will they achieve this magical effect? By shrinking the bezels - seemingly the defining trick of 2017. It's expected that the iPhone 8 will pull the same trick later in the year, while Samsung, LG, and Essential (Google it) have already done something similar with their own phones.

The question seems to be whether this iPad Pro 2 will show up at WWDC. Respected Apple analysts reckon the odds are good.
Siri Speaker
The big new hardware announcement for WWDC 2017 could well be related to Apple's personal assistant - a Siri Speaker.

Amazon's Echo speaker has been an unexpected success, which has had its tech rivals scrambling to compete (Google Home just launched in the UK). Now it's Apple's turn, if rumours are to be believed.

Interestingly, it's been suggested that the Siri Speaker will place the emphasis on audio quality, so it could be as much of a rival to Sonos as it is to Amazon and Google.
WatchOS 4 and macOS 10.13
Of less interest to gamers, Apple will also probably use its WWDC keynote introduce new versions of its Apple Watch and Mac operating systems.

WatchOS 4 could support sleep tracking, while macOS will probably do a bunch of marginally tweaked computery stuff. Let's not beat around the bush here - it's not going to be all that radical, and no one here cares all that much anyway.
New Macs
Expect to see a refresh of Apple's MacBook Pro line. This won't be a big deal - in fact, it'll probably just entail marginally faster/more efficient processors, and maybe a bump up in memory options.

Yes, they'll still be prohibitively expensive. No, you won't be getting your USB port/SD card/DVD drive back. Let it go already.
"By times, Anne, I don't feel quite sure that I understand you altogether," complained Mrs. Lynde.
To every place at once, and nowhere fixed,

Bedtime Digital Games are bringing their most recent puzzle game, Figment: Journey into the Mind, over to iOS on 28th November. You might be familiar with their previous work Back to Bed and Chronology where they've shown a penchant for the surreal.

Figment is no different, it takes place inside the human mind and looks to explore concepts based on the left and right-hand parts of the brain. There are two broad locations in Figment dedicated to each half, the Freedom Isles' puzzles are focused on the right, requiring more lateral thinking. Meanwhile, the Clockwork Town represents the left and has puzzles with more logical solutions.

"I couldn't help it, Anne--I couldn't help it," said poor Leslie.

The MiserThe Hitman Sniper MOD APK game is based on the sniper. When we go inside the game and play, new excitement arises in our minds. Once we have played this game, it seems to us that we want to play it again. Beautiful visuals abound in it. The game is set to be eye-catching. It would help if you used the gun correctly. Excessive use of that gun will reduce its efficiency. After that, it will operate with less capacity. We must first have the idea of whom to attack. Only then can you aim and shoot him correctly. In this game, there will be the same level of interest from the beginning to the end. The color will be no less attractive by any means. Google play store This game was last released in 2015. Since then, SQUARE ENIX LTD has installed and installed its version.
