Software introduction

Having sent over 1 million iOS players to inhabit distant worlds, TerraGenesis is turning to Android users to begin the next wave of galactic colonization. TerraGenesis, winner of last year’s Very Big Indie Pitch in San Francisco, is a stunning space sim grounded in real-life science that gives players free reign in terraforming planets, transforming them into habitable worlds for millions of people.

Use science and technology to meld our solar system’s planets into livable habitats for your new colonists. You’ll need to balance air pressure and oxygen while building up biomass and sea levels. You’ll even have the power to use genes and phyla to create your own organisms. Terragenesis features an array of worlds to choose from, from familiar planets like Mars and Venus, to fictional worlds including Bacchus and Ragnarok. You can even join factions, which have their own advantages based on your unique goals.

If you haven't heard it yet, CD Projekt Red has just launched a new studio, Spokko, which will solely focus on mobile games. While we don't know exactly what'll be coming out of it just yet, we've got a lot to hope for. Lead by Maciej Weiss and Rafal Staszewski, it's said in the announcement article that Spokko will have access to CDPR's intellectual property. There are a couple of Witcher(ish) games on the App Store already, but perhaps with this new development we'll see more from the company in terms of Projekt Red's existing IPs, Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077, and maybe some new ones too.

I know Gwent is a small thing to hope for compared to what games could come out of the new studio, but I'll wait as long as it takes.

"We were elated to hear that CD PROJEKT believes in our idea. Our cooperation with Rafal and other members of the team goes back a long way. We have substantial experience with casual game development, but this time around we want to work on a far more advanced and ambitious project, offering new possibilities for gamers. It's a very exciting challenge," says Spokko co-creator, Maciej Weiss.

Spokko's already looking to hire a 3D animator, Game Developer, ART QA, Network Programmer, and more over on its website.
Archons vs. Zorgs Mod Archons vs. Zorgs v1.0.2.3 mod Features:Unlimited gems, you can get it when you enter the game!Archons vs. Zorgs is a shoot'em up (shmup) action shooter designed for Android mobile devices. aiimjournal.com
In celebration of its one-year anniversary on the App Store Prune has now dropped to its lowest price yet, sitting at just 79p/99c for a limited time.

Named as Apple's iPad, and TIME Magazine's, game of the year Prune is a light game about the joy of cultivation. As suggested by the name Prune is about growing and protecting your tree from harsh environmental factors. By swiping your finger across the screen you can grow and shape your tree into the sunlight and discover a subtle story of life.

Prune is one of those experiences you can't quite explain. Beautiful and minimalistic, the game received not only an outstanding review from us but from many other publications alike.

At 79p/99c you'd be mad to miss this chance before its prices shoot up again. Grab Prune from iTunes here, or from Google Play for a similar price.

After 74 days of sitting as King of the App Store, Pokemon GO has officially lost its title as the highest grossing iOS app. Was it dethroned by a new contender, ready to make a daring entrance? Quite the opposite actually as our old friend Clash Royale made its mark by introducing microtransactions.

Obviously, this doesn't spell the end for Pokemon GO as it still belted out of the starting gates so ferociously it may as well as blown the doors right off, however an interesting article by Forbes earlier brought an interesting fact to light - It isn't very well monetised.

Mr. Tassi brings some very interesting factors to light throughout, such as the fact that as you proceed and increase your levels in-game, the less incentive there is to actually buy anything in the store.

Join our article where you can add your Pokemon GO friend code and find new people to play with!

He makes a brilliant point that the purchases meant to help you, such as Incense, actually don't help lure anything other than a handful of Pidgeys and Rattatas. It's the digital version of sticking a pound coin in a change machine hoping for two 50ps and getting a load of pennies spat out at you. You can also buddy up with a friend to go Pokemon hunting together and reap the rewards of a single lure between you, so I think Niantic missed a trick there.

As mentioned, it could also be down to the app's fading popularity, but there are undoubtedly certain things that Niantic could work on to improve their monetisation. Take a look at CSR Racing 2, and you'll have a pretty good model to work with.

2018 brings hints and portents of new things for Snake Pass, the delightful puzzle platformer for Nintendo Switch. Sumo Digital shared a cryptic tweet today hinting at things to come for our slithery friend and his hummingbird companion:
*yawn* We sssaid sssome things were happening in early 2018 - guess it's time to wake up from our hibernation.HELLO. ?????? pic.twitter.com/vUPi8mjq56— Snake Pass (@Snake_Pass) January 15, 2018 We liked the game a good deal, as did many others. Snake Pass is a fine attempt at an environmental puzzler, shifting our expectations of the genre and challenging players to figure out life as a snake rather than the usual puzzles you might come to expect from similar games.

It’s exciting to ponder what could be next for this charming indie project. Is Snake Pass 2 in the works, or some other follow up to the franchise? Or will it be another game in the same vein, featuring another woodland creature?

It’s all speculation at this point, but as the teaser points to early 2018, expect to hear more news soon. What do you, dear reader, think Sumo Digital is hinting at?

Square Enix has finally offered up some details of its upcoming Switch game, Dragon Quest Builders 2, complete with the ridiculously long subtitle The God of Destruction Malroth and the Vacant Island.

According to info dug up by Gematsu, the story begins when the main character, the Builder, washes ashore on the Vacant Island and must evoke Robinson Crusoe in order to build up a base and defeat roaming monsters.

Gameplay will be similar to the original Dragon Quest Builders, with you destroying the world and the creatures in it to earn resources for crafting weapons, tools, buildings, and improving the Builder's skills.

There are no hints yet about how the destruction god Malroth comes into play, but given his name, it seems likely that he'll be bent on knocking down whatever blocks the Builder stacks up.

The game will also be multiplayer for up to four people, so you can work with your friends to save the world – or just see who can build a better base.

We loved the original Dragon Quest Builders, calling it "a brilliant, feature-packed game that any self-respecting Switch player should be picking up right about now" and giving it our Gold Award.

I haven't had much time with the original Dragon Quest Builder, but the screenshots for the new game look lovely, and the RPG aspect of the game is enticing. Plus, you can't go wrong with a bit of four-player co-op, although it doesn't look like you'll be able to share a screen, which is a little disappointing.

There's no word on a release date just yet, but we'll let you know when we have more information.
